FAQs

How much does FreshStart cost?

As a CPR and/or Computer Troubleshooters franchise store that registers as a FreshStart service provider, you are authorized to receive license keys on a consignment basis so there really is no cost to you to begin doing FreshStarts.

Merrymeeting corporate will bill you for key uses at the end of the month. For more information about billing and costs, please contact Kim.

How can I increase FreshStart sales in my store?

If you haven’t already, be sure to check out our Merrymeeting-approved posters and rack cards, featured here on the webpage. We’ve found that stores who hang a poster in the window tend to sell a lot more services.

Similarly, since you already have customers coming into your store for cell phone repairs, be sure to send them home with a rack card with their receipt. These cards describe the service and give them a handy reminder that you offer a comprehensive, affordable PC solution as well.

Also, this summer, CyberSpa will be launching a marketing campaign that directs customers to a map of service provider locations. To get featured on our map, your store must average at least 10 services a month.

What tools do I need to set up for FreshStart services?

Chances are, you already have everything you need currently in your store!

First, you will need a service PC that can connect to the Internet to download our software. It also needs a working USB port to which you  can connect the new drive for imaging purposes. We recommend the following specs for your PC:
  • USB 3.0 connections
  • i7 processor
  • 4 or more GB memory
  • 500GB available storage
  • Fast hard drive (SSD or 7200 RPM HDD)
If you cannot get a PC that meets these requirements, simply know that the imaging process will take longer. The hands-on time for your techs will remain the same.
You will also need a drive dock or USB to SATA cable so you can image the drive, and then connect the old drive when prompted. We recommend using 3.0 USB connections to get the optimal speeds for drive imaging and data transfer.
You will need tools to remove and replace a PC hard drive, and you will need a secure storage location to house the PCs and customer drives when you’re not working on them.
How do I get new FreshStart keys?

Our license key server automatically tracks key use by store and generates a report at the end of each month that we use for invoicing purposes. If we see that you are running low, we will email you a new key. However, if you run into issues or have a question about your keys, please contact our National Account Manager, Griffin Shay (Griffin@cyber-spa.com) for further assistance.

What is the best way to get my team properly trained?

Set aside 45 minutes (and maybe order pizza) and go through our animated training videos together as a team on the biggest monitor you have. They can all be found under the “Becoming a FreshStart Service Provider” tab at the top of our home page.

Ask your team members after each video if they have any questions, and make sure these video links are readily available on your service computer if anyone needs a refresher. The most important three video to focus on initially with all members of your team are:

  • Understanding PC performance Problems
  • Introducing FreshStart
  • Selling a FreshStart Service

These three videos take less that 10 minutes to watch, but we can assure you that anyone who masters their content will become an outstanding FreshStart sales representative.

Delivering the service as you will see from those training videos is the easy part.
